hi-bridge is a public interest project where hospitals and organizations join forces to open paths for treatment for those who have not had the opportunity due to various circumstances, despite needing care. It calmly records the process of their recovery.

This record documents the process of a person’s daily life being restored through the first hi-bridge campaign. We would be grateful if you could join us in observing the significance of this journey.

Implant Treatment That Was Hard to Begin

"It was a treatment I couldn't start easily,
but I thought it would be good to at least get a consultation first
and check my current condition."

— Mr. Kang—

Mr. Kang mentioned that although he had been suffering from discomfort due to dental issues for a long time, it was difficult to make the decision to get implants. It wasn't that he didn't know the necessity; rather, it was simply not easy to actually start due to concerns about the schedule, cost, and having to undergo a major surgery.

He then learned about the hi-bridge campaign and shared that he decided to participate with the hope of at least receiving a consultation regarding his current status.

Mr. Kang’s First Implant Consultation

Upon hearing the news of his selection, Mr. Kang felt joy along with a certain worry. As he had postponed treatment for a long time, he felt anxious about what the actual process would entail and whether it could be carried out in a way that suited him.

To alleviate Mr. Kang’s concerns, the partner hospital reviewed his current condition through consultation and precision diagnosis and calmly explained the sequence in which the treatment would proceed.

In that process, Mr. Kang said he felt his vague worries were gradually becoming settled. He also mentioned that it was a great help to be able to know his current status and the future plans at each stage.

Moments of Daily Life Changing Little by Little

This hi-bridge record shows that a significant gap exists between those who urgently need treatment and the conditions required to actually begin that treatment.

In particular, for some people, opportunities to start treatment may be even more scarce. Until an opportunity for a consultation, a chance to check one's current status, or an occasion to connect with medical staff arises, it is not even easy to consider treatment.

This case is also a record showing that such a gap is not filled by a single decision or the effort of a single entity alone, but becomes possible only when the participant’s own decision, partner hospitals, linked organizations, and the connecting structure that coordinates between them work together.
